ABOUT US

Senate Working Group is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Senate staff by providing them with the tools and resources they need to better serve the American people.  Specifically, Senate Working Group was created to provide educational opportunities and trainings, connect Senate staff to policy experts, thought leaders, and constituents that can assist in their efforts, and serve as an ‘off the Hill’ resource regarding issues pertaining to the American people. 

 

Senate Working Group sponsors educational workshops, networking receptions, and training seminars throughout the year for all Senate staff, including Senate Interns.

 

Senate Working Group is a tax-exempt organization created under section 501(c)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code. Senate Group is not financed by, controlled by, or otherwise affiliated with any governmental entity, including but not limited to the United States Senate.

James Kimmey
Executive Director

Since its founding in 2021, James Kimmey has served as Executive Director of Senate Working Group (SWG), overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization.

 

Mr. Kimmey joined SWG after serving almost a decade as a philanthropic advisor for high-net-worth individuals. Whether it was politics, education, conservation, healthcare, or humanitarian work, Mr. Kimmey’s work spanned throughout the country, engaging individuals in life changing causes.
